Three Great Ways to Start Your Morning

Waking up for work every Monday through Friday takes a lot out of your body, especially if you’re staying up late at night. It is important to get at least eight hours of sleep, but what can be done in the morning if your body does not get enough rest? Here are some great ideas to gain the motivation to perform effectively in the morning, turning your lethargic body into a energy machine!
Do a ten minute workout
Working your body out in the morning is a great way to start off energized. Although waking up a little earlier to stay on time is a possibility, time won’t be a worry once you consistently incorporate this activity in your morning routine. Throw on some workout clothes and go jogging outside, or do a few yoga poses in the living room for meditation. Once you have warmed up your body and stretched your muscles, you will feel more awake and ready to start your day. Not only will you feel better, you may shed some extra pounds in the process.
Dance, Dance, Dance!
Play a song to help put you in a better mood and make your morning much better. While preparing your things for work, turn on the radio or iTunes music and put on your favorite upbeat, energetic song. I would recommend putting on Pharrell’s “Happy” and dancing around your house. This will put you in an amazing mood and ready to start your day off positively. Dancing is one of the best stress relievers and can turn any lazy morning into a great start.
Eat a healthy breakfast
Again you may have to wake up a little earlier to do so, but it comes with great reward. Before you go to sleep the night before, plan what to eat for breakfast in the morning, and prevent yourself from resorting to your local fast food restaurant. French toast, a meaty omelette or even a colourful frittata would be great options. Most people that start their mornings off negatively and tired haven’t had a proper meal. Investing time into a great breakfast produces a great day. After all, everyone knows that breakfast is the most important part of the day.
